First of all congratulations to the winners from all the Sikania team, our race was a bit weird because Daniele who is our top rider was engaged in another race he was able to qualify and only the initial stint when he surrendered the car at Franco he had problems with the wheel and I climbed up that I actually had to climb last and so our strategy went wrong. I mean we finally had fun and the fifth place we got was a good job done by all of us.Daniele has given the most in the last stint as well as me and Franco during the race. Sorry if there have been contacts with GT during the race but some do not look at the mirrors and when you are already in You can not be blocked by the overtaking step on the wall.
Thanks to the organization of P1 Gaming and now we prepare for the 24H where the Sikania Team will be held.

    hey folks,

congratulation to every Team who paticipate in this Race and finished the 12H of Spa. Especially to the Organization of P1, which are the crew behind these races and make these races possible.

    Race Summary:

Qualifying was really good and i didn't think i never had this amount of gap in any Qualifying races. The new Format (First GT3 and then LMP) was very very good. Nobody can say, i was held up from a GT3 driver and he ruined my lap. For the NOS 24H this qualifying format doesn't make any sense to me.

The Race start was very good from my perspective. I was talking to al Jaenero in the formation Lap, if he can catch me up the camel straight. It was realy close but i could stay in front of him and after a certain amount of time i had good lead. Said Story of the Formation Lap is, that we lost 2 cars in the formation lap. Rennsimulanten Team V and Team VI and they weren't able to rejoin, because the servers only allow to rejoin, when they did 1 Lap in the Race =( .The first rain wasn't really a surprise to everyone i guess. Everyone changed their tires and we are going to race in wet conditions. The following 4to5 Hours we changed tires from dry to wet conditions and back again. THAT'S THE REASON WHY WE LOVE RFACTOR 2. I never had so much fun in Rfactor 2. Overtaking the GT3 cars was really good. I didn't had any accidents with a GT3 car, if you keep cool and wait for your opportunity to overtake the GT3 drivers. The Race was going on and after 7 Hours Benjamin and myself had a comfortable lead of 2 Laps. We only had to bring this home, without any crashes(client side) or a collision with any other driver. We did bring it home and won the 12Hours of Spa.

Again thanks to all the Teams, especially the new Teams. I hope you guys had so much fun and we can Race each other on the legendary Norschleife aswell.

    Cheers

    Mario

  3. Great job from the organization and from the streaming team! Really thanks, was a pleasure to drive and to watch.

This was my first endurance race ever, for Alessio as well, and i'm very happy for the final 5th position.
My lap in Q surprised me a bit, i knew i could do better, "nevermid, the race is long" i said to myself and to Alessio.

The start was awesome, started 11th in class, at the end of my 1st stint i was 2nd, thanks to some thrilled overtakes. Unfortunately, around the 3rd hour, Alessio lost the connection, so we lost about 3 laps from the leader, back in P9 (in-class).

The weather was very hard to understand, indeed, in my second stint i changed with slick tires, but i touched the wet line in Radillon. A very little touch in to the wall was enough to bring me back in pit, repair damage and mount wet tires. This, plus a nosense LMP2 ramming in Radillon, brought us back in P11, around 6-7 laps down from the GT3 leader.

The pace was amazing, we were one of the fastest GT3s in the field. After some overtakes that allowed us to unlap some cars, another impatient LMP2 driver rammed Alessio, that cost us a 140 seconds long pitstop: P5 and a gap around 4 laps to P4.

Ended my 2hrs long stint, Alessio informed me that a thunderstorm was coming near his home, the risk to losing the connection again was high!
Alessio: "you must drive, we can't lose the connection again!" Me: "No! I'm ****** tired and my arms hurst!" Alessio: "**** ***** ***** *****!!" :D
Jumped in the car, i did the best stint of my race, reducing the gap to P4 from 4 laps to 2 laps. Alessio then has continued the job with a amazing pace, until the 3rd LMP2 ramming.. Heavy damages, engine issues, P6.
1h and 20min to go, we were optimistics because we knew the GT3 in P5 had to stop, indeed we were right.
So, GT3 in P5 pitted, we as well with 50 mins to go, my last stint and 20 seconds to P5.

I've reached him in Stavelot, i was preparing the overtake for the Busstop or in the Kemmel, but a LMP2... rammed him just before Blanchimont. I felt so sorry for him, a battle for P5 in the last minutes ruined by a bad LMP2 move.

In the end, my P5 was safe, and i simply managed the last laps by saying "hello" with headlights to the leader every time I met him. LOL.

With a little less of bad luck, i'm sure a podium would have been in our hands, but this the charm of the edurance races!
Again thanks to everybody, i hope to build up a team with 4-5 drivers for the 24h Nords!

Dont worry mate. Saw the yellow flag and the car at the left. So no reason to slow down. At the top i saw only a tire in my view. But this things can happen. Nothing you can do. Luckily its only a sim and no one got hurt :D. Or luck was it happen in the last lap of the first stint. So we lost only ~100sec.

So far our race was ok. The gap to P2 was solid only Mario in P1 rushed away. The the next few hours we could recover from the incident and managed to stabilize the gap to P1 ~ 1 lap down. In my second stint i sadly hit a Ferrari in Puhon. Saw him go a bit wide and went for the gap but he was able to take a closer line as expected. As i realized this it was to late to do anything. So sorry however it was. From the our car felt bad and it got worse. Later in this stints i overtook a Porsche at the way to Puhon. Looked to the right to check i leave him enough space. Then watch in front again i saw a second Porsche approaching quickly and i smashed into this rear. I had no time to react and can only say sorry again. The handling of our car got worse again. Then Mats took over and could stabilize the gap to P3. Mario and Benjamin in P1 had already been far away.

For the final stints the car was ok again and i was able to build a gap of one lap against Al. So the final hour was reducing the risk and drive it home.

Thanks to all drivers and i hope to see you again at the Nordschleife.

As well from me in name of the whole Team Rennsimulanten, a lot of thanks to the organization and all people which had helped! Also to all teams and drivers participate at this event. Basically for such a race is, that there were enough cars on track and in the past we must fear, that this would not be to expect. But we had seen lot of well known drivers all over the world, as well as a lot of new teams and drivers participate first time. And we hope and i´m in good expectation, that this race was best advertising for much more races...

I want to congratulate as first the winners, -fortunately out of my own team :), but nevertheless all teams which bring their cars over the finish line. Maybe not the hardest, because capital damages would not end the race, but i think that´s in our all interest, to didn´t lost opponents. I think we all had to fight against some issues, if technical or incidents with other cars, but as said above, that´s part of endurance racing and could ever happen. No big need to worry or even capitulate. You are all racers!
I also would not forget my two cars which could not participate at the race :(. One´s rF crashed at session change from warmup to race, an second has black screen in formation lap and we decide to disconnect as soon to lost minimum time, not knowing, that not the session is decisive, rather the the green starting light :(. I´m very unhappy with the decision and for my teammates, which has mostly do lot of preparation last weeks. But also that is still racing, sometimes very hard and unexpected.

My co-driver Al Jenero droved the LMP on starting position 2 and did an expected great job. I´m not on his level and additionally i´ve has to re-install Win and rF last week and can´t sort out heavy problems with struggling frames and performance. Especially passing Pitlane each lap makes problems, even more, if cars were in. Later in the dark it get´s worse with lights on other cars around me.
On my first outdrive after two and a half hours i drove through Eau Rouge and on the top of it, something on my system got out and crashed me out of control into the wall. I want to crash rFactor, but can´t get into taskmanager, so i have to reset my PC. After rejoin i drove my first stint in mixed conditions with an well performance, could drove the wets really long into the drying lane and went forward from P7 to P5. I´ve accustomed with my stutters and decide that´s it´s not a too high risk for me, or more important, for others. It was not fine so to drive, but all the time of training should final end in seeing the checkered flag.
Unfortunately i´ve got an issue with my stutters on my first pitstop, as i touched another LMP standing in front of me in pits. The bad crashbox of the LMP plus my bad frames let me bump the car and turned me around in pitlane. Yes, it must have seen very stupid .
After my next stint Al Jenero drove us into third position, with sometimes up to 2min gap to P2, but some laps gap to P4. Later i´ve forced and accident with an Porsche driven by Simon Scott. I thought he let me pass inside an left curve, but i drove to close to him and sent him into an turnaround. Sorry again on this way!!!
After rain went off, the race reassured and we save P3. Al would to win, i said on Friday we would do P5, -so we met us in the middle :D. And i´m very satisfied with this!!!

I hope to take part on Nords, but some cars of us will be there for sure!!! We hope you do also and furthermore lot of other teams. If you know communities around you - tell them and invite them to take part ;)

    Best regards,

    Dobbie

    Hey Jan,

    1. you are really funny (and cheeky) saying Björn ram you away while you hit the ferrari (if at all you ram the ferrari and it didnt look like netcode stuff)

    2. after you spun on the last lap you have totally violated rule 4.9.1 by didnt keep an eye on the traffic behind:

    4.9 Incidents, crashes etc.
4.9.1 A driver who left the track due to an incident or spin has to make sure he rejoins the track in a save way without impeeding other drivers

    3. only u have thrown away P5 by spinning a couple of times, so dont put the blame to others.

    4. because of this continuing over-aggressive driving i am doubtful of the format with two classes now, after high expectations before that race... sad to say not everyone has got the patience while passing like Mario and some others; not that much has changed after suzuka in this case.

    cheers

No offense, what was he doing? I don't think he did it on purpose, but one could assume he did.
There was no reason to go right and I knew he was on my left, leaving him space. And you clearly see I rejoined the race in a safe manner, I knew he was there and drove parallel, not directly onto the racing line. This was clearly his fault at this moment.

Yeah really sorry about the rest of the race, I made a mess - I think unless they up the damage by a lot, I won't drive here anymore, there is just too much temptation to get the last out of the car because I know there are no consequences if you crash. I need to work on that. The GTs are much better in that regard btw.

Almost forgotten, -i want and i have donate an little amount to P1, so as i would pay for an visit in cinema! I think we spend a lot of time on the P1-Servers, but they also costs some money to deliver this great races. For me it´s simply fair to spend an little amount. Maybe -if costs were covered by sponsors- Markus and Simon could eat some Ice or Pizza together ;)

The first 2 hour session all cars will share the track. After this 2 hour session will be a extra qualifying session for the TOP10 GT3s.
The Times from the first session will be deleted for these cars. Starting with P10 the GT cars will start each 40 seconds on their laps. This time the shortcut is not allowed and the cars must do a complete out lap. Each car will have maximal 2 timed laps.

If a car will use the shortcut and this results in a ~2min lap time the car will be disqualified from the qualifying and start from the back of its class.

Unique vehicle check will be active. This means every car can only be once on the server. If you join and your teammate is already with your car on the server he or you (dont remember correctly now) will be automatically kicked from the server.

This is the way you can use to do a short outlap during the qualification. The short cut on the gp circuit is not allowed.

If you do this short cut twice and set a very quick time (~2min) you will be disqualified for the session and have to start from the back of the grid.
