there was that corner and another where you were going into it blind where the sun was setting. Luckily with name tags on and other car volumes high if you didn't see the cars ahead you would hear them. Wow this is one tough race.

    Hello everybody,

in name of the Rennsimulanten.de i want to thanks in first the whole Orga of P1-Gaming, from Organizer, over Commentators, Live-Stewards end technical Staff - great job as i have seen!!! Looks like server works perfect, live stream i can´t see a lot because of technical issues myself, but as i heard there were no bigger problems.
As we started discussion about live stewards, i would not believe, that P1 will be able to find enough people to give this service every race, but it seems that it goes and i think we all gain of it!

My team without myself (i wasn´t been able to prepared my system to run stable and with good performance, so i had worked a lot on it during race without any progress, has had an Win10 crash some days before and must setup everything from BIOS to rF2 and didn´t it well :( ) did an excellent job, reaches pole position in both classes and the victory in both! For guys never driving leagues or bigger regularly contests it´s really amazing. I think the secret of the success lies in the fact to drive everything you can find to drive, different sims from rFactor over Assetto till the end Wreckfest or Truck-Sim :), and every class and car you can compete with. But there is a lot of talent anyway.
We could have bring some new guys on track and i´m sure, most of them would come back next races, because P1 competition with all of you is an great experience and big fun!
We are all positive surprised about the discipline at first laps! Unbelievable, how careful and respectful from our point of view everyone involved in startlaps drove their cars and nothing really bad happens. Most of the drivers we have seen, has did lot of races at P1 and we can say, we all has learned a lot, how to driving careful and avoiding bad situations, but even that we drive against other human and respect each other, maybe even because of the stewards and penalties. Races became better and better, and nearly better than in real racing ;) Some guys told themselves to be threated unfairly and think they otherwise would win naturally, but that´s not realistic. To win endurance races, you have more to do as to drive fast, you have to be clever and you have to be sure, that you can make moves or not. If you did not anticipate some unexpected moves from opponents, it´s even an failure and can cost you good results!

Have a nice summer and see you next time ;)

Also wanted to thank P1 for this event. Was a fun one with lots of action over the hill. Gutted because we couldn't hold onto first place but Rennsimulanten certainly earned their win with the pace and the fight back they put up. Specially wanted to thank @Dennis Richter for an awesome fight throughout the first stint :)

On behalf of RevolutionSimRacing We would like to thank P1-Gaming for yet another incredible event, you guys do a fantastic job with organisation, hosting, live stewards. We had an exciting race with car #115 starting 5th and car #114 15th, Both cars got caught up in the big crash but we pitted under code 60 to reduce the lost time. had a fantastic race working back into the top 10. Car #114 was in a strategic battle all race with Rookie Monsters #73 for P8 but sadly this was not meant to be and we brought the car home in 9th. Car #115 had good pace all race and finished in P5.

We also entered a TRG with car #118 a complete Rookie team who struggled at the start but once they got up and running really enjoyed the race albeit 5 laps down on the car in front, the commitment they showed was hugely impressive.

Congratulations to both class leaders, just finishing was a success but for those who won, its well deserved! Thankyou to every TRG driver for driving sensibly when being lapped, because of the respect you showed it allowed us to overtake on the hill safely.

now we look to next race with excitement and anticipation. bring it on! :)

    Hey everyone.
As every past Event the P1 Staff have done a awesome Job. Since I joined the vMADS team i had about a few races and every time the level of drivers and also the level of professionalism around the race improves a lot. I like to see this in the future.
We as a Team look forward to an Endurance Championship in 2019.
Now I want to have a small lookback to our Race.
Just before the race startet our team have to suffer a setback because our Avensis got a disconect on the most badly time it had come so that the Avensis couldn´t start the race.
But for me as the startdriver for the bmw it was the time to look forward to the oncoming 12h around the mountain.
The first Stint was pretty well. Sadly we have two contacts whit some Gt3´s.
After halftime it seems that we only fight around P5-P9 so we drived the car around and tried to keeping it clean.
In the end our driver Yannik fixed his system during the race so we were able to get all our drives onto the bmw so we can do this race at a team and look forward to the next races and hope to get rewarded to our effort in one of the next races.
Also we want to thank all drives for an impressive level of respect. Nice one.
Everyone who finished this race have done a very good job.

    greats from vMADS

  12. Big congratulations from Team RSI to both winners and finishers! Also a big thanks to the organization, the streaming team and the live marshals, all of you made an amazing job and we ejoyed a lot the event, even if we suffered some issues during the race, a 5th place still good.
Being in TRG class we were a bit worried about the traffic, but i have to say it was perfectly managed from all the drivers.

Last but not least, i'd like to say sorry to one of our competitors in TRG: was the 4-5 hour, i had a big freeze in the last corner (someone rejoined the race) and i saw you go against the wall probably to avoid my freezed car, really sorry about that.

A big thanks to all the organisers and everyone involved in the process from rookie monsters! It was a hard fought and slightly unlucky race for us but we brought the #73 Camaro home in P8 and the #33 bmw managed 6th in class after being unable to qualify. Not a bad showing from our guys. Especially Gui who did over half the race while i was suffering with wheel issues. Anyway Cheers for the race and we look forward to having fun in this competitive field next round :D

Here some feed back from myself.

    First part from the organizer:

Thanks to everyone that has participated and congratulation to all the finished to race specially to the winners and podiums.
So now to some problems i realized. First a lot of rejoin lags (worse than in previous builds as far as i remember). Also there was some pit box issue already mention after the test race. I tried to fix it after the test race but the way it work so far did not. So we need to find a better way for the next events. For all the driver swap problem i send the trace file to S397. Maybe it helps S397 to fix this issues or at least prioritize them higher when people with problems report them too.

    No From the driver:

We had a pretty bad qualifying and had stuck after the start at the back of the gt3s. Which was in the end a bit lucky because we could easily avoid the big crash on top of the mountain. But i took to opportunity to take some extra fuel. The only problem was i had some minor ffb delay and micro lags. But luckily i didnt crash out, could have some nice battles and could hand over a car with only minor damage (~20sec repair, our only repair time in the complete race :)). So in the end to ffb delay cost us only a little time. Christian toke the car and we could consolidate our position in the top6. After a reboot my ffb was fine and the micro lag had disappeared. So it was time to play the catch up game for the rest of the race. But the pace of all cars/drivers had been pretty equal so it was more a time trial battle than battling directly on track. We only sufferd in the last 4hours a bit of engine wear which costed ~0,5-1second a lap. So bad luck and some errors from the cars in front of us and a solid drive by our self resulted in P2 in the end.

So overall it was a great event and i hope to see you all in the next one :)

After a tough and gruelling 12 hours at Bathurst from morning to night we got the car home 14th after qualifying 11th. Many thanks to all my drivers who took part it was a race of high and lows. Plenty of action and dramas but we hung in there to the end.

Thanks go to John Nelson and Chris Myles for taking part hope you guys had a blast [IMG]

Thank you to the P-1 organisers and staff for running a great 12 hours of Bathurst.

It was firstly great fun to get involved in the commentary team for the English language stream. There are a few more experienced commentators that might like to get involved next race such as @Cameron Rodger and @Peter Schulze.
The race start was really clean and with some great teams out of position after quali it set the stage for a great endurance race.

From the driving side things did not go smoothly. Lars did a great job and after some damage in the first stint from the big pileup on top of the mountain he pitted for repairs and topped up the tank.

I am a driver who takes a few laps to get into the zone and coming from commentary wasn't my ideal preparation.
When it came my time to drive I closed down the commentary tools and got a computer crash when starting to enter multiplayer. It was going to be close!
On restart my JSON files were gone. Cody Blanton entered the server just in case and took the car but he had stuttering and frame rate issues that caused a couple of crashes on track and so had to give it straight to me.
I used my backup JSON files and hurriedly made some adjustments but for got to turn off visible steering wheel which was a distraction.

I took the car in P17 and 2 laps down and feeling quite tense. I managed to do one stint before handing back to Cody.

The team managed to climb back to P6 by the finish.
With a clean run it seems a podium was possible, but that's endurance racing for you!

Thanks all drivers and see you at the next one.

As always thank you to P1 Gaming for organising this amazing race. :) 12h of commentary and again a stable server, very nice! Kudos to the English commentary, too, I found that very good to listen to aswell.

@Dennis Richter and myself started in both Touring Car- (together with Chris, Chris and Karsten) and GT3-Class and had near perfect races. :) Dennis put the Tourer on Pole just on his last attempt, which he had begun 3 secs before quali finished. :D I paddled the Porsche onto P8 which was alright. P1 and P2 for other Rennsimulanten cars meant we had quite a few cars on the sharp end.

Our approach was driving completly on the safe side, which probably paid off, when the "big one" happened. The two guys in front of me passed a Tourer on the first part of the mountain, while I stayed behind and left a gap. I watched the replay and I think the tourer infront of me and our car were pretty much the only ones, which got through without any contact of some sort. o_O Dennis in the Tourer even was the first car to arrive on the scene and could avoid the crash just by going through the gravel trap. We could've lost the race right there with both cars but luck was on our side.

After that ironically the only two contacts with other cars in the whole race basically happened because of our passive driving style. On both occasions I got hit from behind after the Chase when I lifted early because of Touring Cars in front, which I didn't want to attack in the braking zone. Both times No. 911 was flying across the grass, track and into the gravel trap, but fortunately we hit nothing. The first incident actually cost quite a bit of time and we went down from P6 to P15, but with other pit strategy compared to most cars we got back up quite quickly.

All that happened in the first 2 hours and after that the race sattled down a lot. Dealing with other cars went very well and congratulations for the new drivers at P1 24h Series. One could notice that they learnt quickly, even though Bathurst is probably the hardest track for learning multi class racing. :) We were basically clicking away the laps, which was well doable thanks to the awesome setup that Dennis and Mario came up with. :) All other contenders ran into some sort of trouble at some point of the race (our sister car aswell unfortunately), that's how we got the comfortable lead. I'm very pleased that we could conquer the mountain, because before the race I was pretty sure, that the mountain would eventually conquer us at some point of the race.

In the Touring Car Class it looked like @Michael Röllin had it in the bag, but our "Knudsen guy" put in awesome lap times with around 3h to go, even after being hit innocently by a out of control GT3 car. We knew Michael either had to make an extra stop or hand over the car to Mohammed for the last hour of the race and we didn't know how his pace was. So we decided to push as much as we could, even though we were behind by about one lap, and see what happens. In the end the race was decided by the fact that our car was in a better shape (difference in straight line speed was huge), rather that by the pace of the drivers. That said, Tourer Class could've easily went the way of Michael and Mohammed, in the end I guess we had the luck on our side on that day. Maybe next time it's the other way around, they for sure would've been worthy winners, too. :)

#911 with cookie monster behind the wheel will be back in July and I'm sure there will be a touring car from the Rennsimulanten squad there aswell. :)
