Simon declared the starting procedure in another thread. Am I right that i read out of it, that we would not see an complete formation lap? The starting group get into movement from the Döttinger and right after passing Hohenrain the race will start?

    Hey guys,

before I send my excuse to the Team Deuce Motorsport and in first line Matthieu Decrop, I want to thank very much Daniel Hahn for his neutral and fair commentary of the last big scene of the race!!!
The circumstances wasn´t on our side at the end of the race, we saw early that they stopped half an full hour, we had to did it nearly full hour and we didn´t know if we could plan with seven, or had to plan with eight laps. All had depended of what leading Buttler-Pal would do with their big lead. But we had to handle with the eight laps and me was the only one on our car who was able to economize with our 120l for eight laps after our last stopp at 57min rest time.
To be honest, i wondered as i saw that the had stopped that long time half an hour before race end, but it gave us an gap of arround 40 seconds. With that circumstances i had to balance with the consumption and the shrinking seconds. More an more as we became clear, that Buttler must do something for the ego and must do as much laps as they could. Okay, it´s their good right! But for us it was an desaster, well knowing, that every tenth of an second would decide over place eleven and twelve.
Last crossing the line before the last lap, I had 15,2l to disposal, knowing, that Matthieu had closed up to arround fife seconds and I had little chances to bring it over the last 25km. I think they all in the team was up to date about our conditions and knew, that they only had to wait until Döttinger Höhe for the catch. We were aware of this too. I was glad to save it to Galgenkopf at all, in fear, that the engine may stuttering nearly Hohenrain with less fuel, and want to find my last chance by getting good exit onto Döttinger. Unfortunately I got with the left tires on the gras, at this point I had similar moments with the right-hand-driven Bentley, and misjudged it, so that i spun of to the right an collided with their Audi. I did not accept this risk, it wasn´t my intention to destroy their car or result!!! As Daniel said, I´m sportsmanlike enough to accept the outgoing and would have waited myself even if Matthieu had to drive with 30kph to the finish line!!! That´s not the way we want to gain positions! I would had been proud like an lion if I had could safe it, but it shouldn´t be.

And now official my very honest excuses to Team Deuces for this accident. Fortunately it did not had bad consequences.

Of course congratulation to all winners of this epic event, and an big thanks to all participants for beeing part of it! A bit shame for fife teams not take part on it but beeing in the entrylist, but that´s the business :(. May P1 always remember, which teams are loyal and which not. Not to forget all P1-Officials for their amazing job - as usual ;).

Personally for the Rennsimulanten-Bentley #59 it was an really good race. Until the night arround one a clock we didn´t had any issues and had good perspective on Top10. In my second hour of first doublestint i had an accident even at Galgenkopf, as I touched curbs on the left before the last corner and can´t turn into the right, so i crashed into the barrier. As we want to change few laps later Tobi had been on the server and we didn´t lost much time. I´ve got some cuts, Stefan Willems too, and Tobi Elwig had to serve them :D. Even Stefan and also Tobi has had their accidents, so we lost about 200 seconds unneccessary. But even without that we could not have reached Top10. So over all we feel really satisfied with our result :).

But we have to realize, that the performance of the grid grows from year to year . For teams like us, didn´t had the time to engineer hours and hours over the setup, not even had one training for this event together , it´s getting harder and harder to compete with the midfield of the grid. For old guys like me it´s an physical torture.

Now I´m really tired, awake since eight o clock on saturday and my physical accu is deep discharged . I wish you all the best and hope to see you all in the best of health next year ;).

    Servus everyone,
just to sum up quickly our race: bad, very bad. Just simply we had no luck. We had (too much) incidents, driver errors, software issues, a new driver, who was maybe a little bit too excited, but yeah, its not a simply thing to drive around the Nordschleife. We hoped for a top 10 finish, but we had to realize very early that - as Rene wrote as well - the grid was super strong. With the bad circumstances we lost around 4-5 five laps, at the end finished 20th. At least I could manage a 4h30mins driving session without any errors in the night.:D
I would like to apologize in the name of my team to Black Hawk #281, Falcon #29, Wave Freem #21 and Obscura Falconis #69 (and maybe for other teams as well...) for the trouble we caused for them. It was a frustrating 24 hours.:( Congrats for everyone!

From my side, I was attending all P1-Gaming events this year, except two (Suzuka 6h, Indianapolis 6h). Really enjoyed it, got the chance to race against great guys and improve, but there still a lot to do.o_O Big thanks for the organizers for this year, see you in 2022!

On behalf of Team WAT, thanks again for organizing this event. It's one of the only times we get to bring out rFactor 2 and do some proper racing with other people than our group.

#149 had a pretty smooth race with some minor scuffs and bumps here and there but nothing too serious, I believe that 6th place is the highest we've ever finished! Ash put in the fastest laps in the dead of night, big kudos there.

#169 had the pleasure of a massive accident due to a failed Fanatec Clubsport brake which put us a lap down on the next cars in front with the reconnect, and despite repairs repeated the feat in the morning hours, so we had to swap out Raimo for myself. 11th was definitely the highest that was in the cards with the competition around and a fortunate timing of the chequered flag.

We hope to be back next year :)

What I want to reply about the race: I´m really missing the Starting-lap before the race. Yes, I now it´s really long and maybe boring for (some / most?) spectators. But for me it´s an part of this event, in sim as in real. It´s an appetizer, it´s the moment, especially for me as driver, where the "tension arc" is growing up. In this way like the short drive from the Döttinger onto the Startline it´s like Sex you are looking out for a long time - without foreplay . For me it´s significant part of this event, even as drivers said, there are no spectators to wave to.
