small info for the new drivers and teams...
if you have no rights in Teamspeak yet, you will get them from us tomorrow at the latest when you are there. Then you can create a temporary sub channel in the channel P1 Teams, with password...

"For LMP1 and LMP2 don't dive-bomb the GTEs into the corners. In the end, both of you lose less time when you overtake them on the exists"

It seems that few people understand this rule, a little respect please!

Hi everyone, first of all congratulations to the organization for another brilliant championship, it was intense and beautiful until the last lap.

I have some buts and actions that I did not like at all, the LMP more than the lmp1 was horrible, with this I do not want to say all of them because some behaved and waited for the moment to overtake, but on many occasions, more than I would like we got move the car away from the line or remove it from the track so that some lmp could pass, they jump without knowledge, they prefer to put the car in the curve when a straight line comes later, seriously, it was horrible at times, I ask for respect and patience, the GT never has to stray from its line and we had to do it several times.

As a second point, we had an Aston Martin GTE car rolling about 10 to 20 seconds slower, it was a cone on the track and at the same time a danger, a minimum lap rate would have to be required to allow running, the GTEs were between 1: 52 at approximately 1:54, that car some laps went to 2:13.

Anyway, everything else is fine, patience and respect on the track, I speak from my point of view what I saw in my cars, I don't know what happened in others.

Regards and see you in road america.

Don't get me wrong, but I think you should also practice to get a feeling for when to dive or not.

We do not have to go off the line for you guys, faster cars have to find their way around the slower ones to some degree. If people do not open the steering for some of the LMP runners it would just instantly result in tears.

Pls. stop this silly discussion. It´s always the same. Gts give the fault to the protos, and the other way around.
I did a few close ones, on the other hand some GTs pushed me out. Will always be the same.
Just show respect to all other cars and it´s okay.
    Race was ...........
Too much cars for this track. Was absolute no fun to drive. With over 50 cars you need longer and wider tracks.
And i don´t want to name the team. But when you drive with a GTE like you have a BTCC you should not drive in a 50+ cars Multi-Class race. It´s insane dangerous, when you close up to a car, that is like 5-6 secs off pace and don´t drive on the racing-line. (Sorry for the harsh opinion).

  13. I want to spend some words regarding the start. I'm going to be direct: the DT had no sense.
    First point:

    Then immediately after

look how much cars in P3 and P4 did close up --> THAT should not happen.
While my gap with Benjamin was basically the same.
    Second point:
We have been penalized "because above 120kph". Let's see first 4 cars speed then:

    ALL above 120.
Also the rule 7.8.4 says: "When race control tells the class to go into double file formation there will also be a command to close the gaps and then to hold formation (means consistent speed of about 120 kph)." So what's about? 125 or 126 its "enough" about and 128 its not?
And last, but not least, in 10yrs on track I have never, ever saw a driver being penalized for jumpstart if not gaining a place before the green OR doing an intentional and evident "elastic" with brake/throttle.
I did just have a better moment on Benjamin at the green and also a way faster car on straights. In fact the big part of the overtake was way after the green.
So that was not a jump start.
But as the reason was speed-related, and no one in top 4 did respect the 120kph reference, I think also the other 3 cars should serve a DT at the beginning of the next race as we did.
Because let's be serious: a DT in the first stint it's totally not equal as the extra time at the end of the race, because more than time, you loose track position.

For the rest not much to say, after the DT it became a nightmare, we have been in the wrong place at the wrong time in 2-3 key moment (in negative) with some mobile roadblocks that we were not enought good to avoid, suffered aero damages, lost 7.5kph on topspeed and from there any chance to recover was gone.

Still congratulations to Schubert for the win, no mistakes and fast pace so deserved. Even if without the gift in the first stint that could have been way different....
    See you in Istanbul.

It is not always the same thing. As previously mentioned, there are people from both classes who get along without trouble. Apparently it is always the same couple of LMP drivers diving like maniacs. If you ask different GTE drivers they will probably all name you a similar group of people.

    Amen.

I think we should start with pit-limiter. And release the pit-limiter with green-comment. Have to say, that some of your arguments are very good. I think one problem was, that we came out of the last corner with under 120km/h and you were not on the same hight, than Schubert. Then everyone closed the gap and everyone was over 120km/h.

Pit-limiter would solve that problem. Just do double file, than pit-limiter and then green.

As much as I like you but that is far from the truth. We got the same penalty at Nordschleife 2022 here at P1 despite not being the only offender in our case. You also didnt have to serve the same penalty and we also didnt win a position because we also started from pole position.

Patrick clearly jumped the start in NOS24 as he accelerated way before the green flag command on TS. It was not the case yesterday, no one jumpstarted but everyone was above the recommended speed stated by the rules and we were the only ones getting a penalty. It's different.
I do agree with Jan, using pitlimiter until the green flag is announced would the best option although being slower it creates more room for incidents. But at least on the rules' side it would be clearer.

  19. Yes pit limiter fixes this case. That's the "pro" of using pit limiter, no problem for speed management.
But there's one "cons": the lower speed you start, the more risk of contact takes place at the start (for instance, imagine a driver in the mid field who sleeps the green or has whatever issue with his pitlimiter button --> higher risk of collision. And we saw that multiple times in other leagues).
Personally I am a fan of the current starting procedure, a lot. I don't blame it. I only blame the decision on my dt for the reasons written above.
The first thing I would do is to adjust the rules, permitting an even higher MAX speed (eg 140kph, but with a mandatory upper limit that must not be exceeded) but still the poleman has all the rights to decide what pace to keep. It also gives much more value to a pole position start because when you manage the starting pace you get a valuable advantage.

I don't want pitlimiters, that's for kids, but some suggestions are interesting and we will talk about them.
