I have been asked to commentate on the FSR Ace race which is at the same time as the practice race. I planned to attend this practice race but will have to miss this one. Sorry
ok so I am confused. Just tried to join the session, but there is a 90 min race started and its not 6.00 pm yet. Why would the server be set to run a 90 minute race before the official 2 hr practice race? Can someone let me know if there is a still supposed to be a practice race at 6?
Admin Post I switched the server to qaulyfing exact at 4pm GMT and then there was 20min qualifying session followed by 10min warmup and 90min race,

For me not a good race. I´ve got heavy stutters at formation lap and start and more and less stutters for the next few laps. I´ve got control over it, but in lap 12 i´ve had an misunderstanding with an Porsche to be overlaped between Blanchimont and Busstop, crashed really hard into barrier and were set into pit . It´s runs so fast, my fingers didn´t had the time to reach near the ESC button!?!?! I crashed rF, but can´t rejoin. No penalty for sure, don´t know what happend, maybe rFactor means i should be dead . I think and hope we all had learned, that overtaking and became overlaped in Spa is as tricky as on all other tracks. We all had to be even more patience, but accidents happens for sure. Butt that much problems in formation lap...
Can we not use the safety car? It's causing more problems than what it's worth. My teammate Brian got a Stop&Go 10 sec penalty because he passed a spun car during formation lap. If we were making pole sitter lead the field instead of safety car we could have avoid that. Also safety car's pace was like it was on a dry track and seemed too fast for some, drivers were hurrying up and slamming on brakes because there is that constant msg on screen that tells you to "Keep up with XX XX driver". We also had few random drivers joined because server is not PW protected, I don't understand why. 3 Of them crashed and left within 7 laps. I know there were some contacts and spins during formation lap, is it necessary to let ppl in even though they don't know what we are trying to do and they don't know the rules?
Admin Post Leider (oder zum Glück) erst im warmup dazu gekommen, ging es für mich aus der Box ins Rennen. Prima dacht ich mir, kannste mal schauen wie gut das hier mit den LMP und den GT3's klappt. Rundenzeiten waren mir egal da ich eh mit nem Standard Set gefahren bin. Ich muß sagen es war Prima. Klar an einigen Stellen wurde ich aufgehalten da ein GT3 vor mir war, aber he die fahren ja auch. An den richtigen Stellen bin ich super durch gekommen. Man muß im LMP nur geduldig bleiben dann klappt das mit den GT3s super. Alles in allem hat es mir sehr viel Spass bereitet. Freu mich auf Samstag und hoffe das es wieder so gut klappt und die beiden Klassen auf sich aufpassen. Unfortunately (or fortunately) only in the warmup i came, it went for me out of the box into the race. nice thought me, can i look how good the here with the LMP and the GT3's folds. Laptime I did not care since I with standard set drove. I must say it was fantastic. Clearly in some places I was stopped since a GT3 was before me, but hehe drive also. In the right places I got through great. You have to remain in the LMP only patiently then the GT3s works great. All in all it was a lot of fun for me. Looking forward to Saturday and hope it will work so well again and the two classes will take care of themselves.
Thank you P1 admins for the practice race. Tricky conditions which forced us to switch compounds several times was very useful to learn about tire compounds and cross-over times. There were several P2 drivers that were not ready for wet conditions. Formation lap needs to be more organized!.I think what is really missing from the rule book is what a driver supposed to do if he goes off or spins during formation lap. Few P2 drivers did that and then they were trying to pass GTs to go back to their original position, which is not a good idea. I'm sure they were getting a msg from game to get back to their position (because the use of safety car). The safer rule is anybody who spins or goes off track during formation lap should wait for all the cars and rejoin in the back of the field. Due to other commitments I won't be racing next Sat. It was a good idea to have two separate test races before the main event.
